An image showing two or more worlds or realities, separated by a reflection or similar effect.
Techniques used can include physical reflections (i.e., mirrors or reflective liquid), stylistic separations (fade in/out, flipping), or artistic effects. There must be a clear separation or contrast, and both worlds must be related in some way.
This method can be used to show "what-if" or alternate universe scenarios, to contrast between different identities or personalities, to contrast between the past and present (or future), as well as many different purposes.
Most often, characters are used as subjects, but backgrounds or worlds can qualify as long as there are mediums used.
