Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter is an American singer, songwriter and businesswoman. Formerly a member of the popular R&B girl band group Destiny's Child, which the band had several hit songs during the late 1990s and early 2000s. After Destiny's Child disbanded in 2006, Beyonce has become the most popular black solo artist, winning many music awards including 32 Grammy Awards.
