Czechoslovakia's principal armed forces, established in 1918 following Czechoslovakia's declaration of independence from Austria-Hungary. It would later be formally renamed the Czechoslovak People's Army in 1954 after a period of Sovietisation. They would revert to their former name in 1990 but then dissolved upon the Dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993. Use this tag for images depicting its logo or characters wearing the uniform.
This tag can also be used to depict the Czechoslovak Legion, a volunteer army that fought on the side of the Entente during World War I before their nation was formed, and famously had to travel the entire length of the Trans-Siberian Railway through the Russian Civil War to head back home.
