X-Men supervillain (occasionally also an anti-hero) who possesses supreme magnetic superpowers. His birth name was Max Eisenhardt (a Jewish survivor of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp) before he adopted the persona of Erik Lehnsherr (a Sinto). He was originally the best friend of Charles Xavier, but the two parted ways due to their differing stances on mutant rights; Charles opted for coexistence with humans, while Erik advocated for mutant supremacy.
