Spoo is one of the main mascots of the NHK show Okaasan to Issho. A hilariously bad drawing of the character by Haida Shouko in 2006, making him look like some kind of pumpkin monster with twintails, became a meme on Futaba Channel and elsewhere, resulting in most of the posts of Spoo on Danbooru to be based off of her drawing instead of the actual character.
