A character from the Strider science fiction franchise. He appears in the 1988 Strider manga as well as its 1989 NES video game adaptation.
Kain (カイン) is an "A" class Strider who has been Strider Hiryuu's friend since their time in training school.
Kain's skill level is on par with Hiryuu's. He's shown to be disrespectful and playful while on duty, but he knows when to take the situation seriously. In the NES game he was depicted as a young man with blonde short hair and wearing a tan uniform sporting a stylized "C", which indicates that his name was probably intended to be originally written as Cain. He also wears a blue scarf similar to Ryuu's and dark bracelets.
Kain's primary weapon is also the Cypher, though he has also been shown capable of handling a variety of firearms, including a rocket launcher and the hi-tech Shadowtag Bullets machine gun.
