A Japanese multimedia franchise created by Too Kyo Games, under the direction of Kodaka Kazutaka (who also created Danganronpa under Spike Chunsoft), and Akatsuki. It consists of an anime of the same name produced by Liden Films that aired between January-March 2022, a webtoon series with the subtitle "War of Tokyo"(トライブナイン/ウォー・オブ・トーキョー) that ran between December 2022 up to sometime in 2023, and an action role-playing gacha game first announced in 2020 and officially released globally on February 20, 2025 for mobile and PC via Steam.
The anime mainly followed the stories of the rebellious Tribes and their many battles, with Extreme Baseball (XB) as the battleground, in the cyberpunk mega-city of Neo Tokyo.
The game is set around two years after the events of the anime, mainly following amnesiac aspiring XB player Kuronaka Yo and his team, the Trash Tribe, as they battle against Neo Tokyo's newest and most dangerous tyrant Zero, as well as nine other dangerous individuals called NUMBERS, in both his "favorite" death games called Extreme Games (XG) and in XB, in order to free Neo Tokyo from his clutches.
