The dinosaur-like creatures appearing in the Mario series since Super Mario World, as well as their own series of games. They come in a multitude of colors, with green being the default. They have frog-like tongues which can be used to swallow enemies and turn them into yoshi eggs which can be thrown. They also all can rapidly kick their feet to gain more height mid-air, called a Flutter Jump.
