energy beam

A beam of energy fired as a weapon or attack. It may start out as an energy ball then form a a beam after it is launched, as in case of the most iconic example, Dragon Ball's Kamehameha. This is less common when the energy beam is fired by a technological weapon instead of as a magical or otherwise superhuman power.
