off-shoulder sweater
Changes between (evazion) and (Timmaine)
A specific type of shoulder-less sweater with an extremely wide neckline which ensures that the garment sits just below the shoulders, leaving them bare. Often features a thicker, sometimes mantle-like hem along the top.¶
¶
Frequently appears as a distinct variant of ribbed sweater.¶
¶
* Should not be used for a normal or moderately wide-necked sweater simply being worn off shoulder (post #1553067). ¶
* Does not imply off shoulder by default, despite the name. Only add off shoulder if it meets the requirements of that tag -- adjusted for the fact that this garment is already off the shoulders.¶
** It is off shoulder when it's notably slipping down one shoulder (post #1529526), a considerable distance down both shoulders and showing plenty of breast (post #1450585), or is on the verge of falling right off (post #1412689)¶
** It is not off shoulder if it's slightly lower than normal, but not exceptionally so. Anything lower than as shown in post #1532332 is probably off shoulder.¶
