Mysterious ruins suddenly appear near the Hakurei Shrine. The shrine's miko, [[Hakurei Reimu]], together with her former enemies [[Mima (touhou)|]] and [[Kirisame Marisa]], as well as a few others, stage a competition to see which one can enter the ruins, believing it holds enormous treasures.¶
The game is notable for its "versus" style gameplay, one which returned for the Windows generation's [[Phantasmagoria of Flower View]].¶
