Third game of the [[Touhou]] series, released 29 December 1997. Part of the [[Touhou (PC-98)|PC-98]] era of Touhou games.¶

Mysterious ruins suddenly appear near the [[Hakurei Shrine]]. The shrine's [[miko]], [[Hakurei Reimu]], together with her former enemies [[Mima (touhou)|]] and [[Kirisame Marisa (PC-98)|]], as well as a few others, stage a competition to see which one can enter the ruins, believing it holds enormous treasures.¶

The game is notable for its "versus" style gameplay, one which returned for the Windows generation's [[Phantasmagoria of Flower View]].¶
