kikkoumon
Changes between (Asqo) and (Asqo)
- 亀甲文
A [[hexagon]] pattern used in traditional Japanese art. Literally "tortoise shell design". Kikkoumon are used in family crests as well as repeated in different combinations to form various patterns.¶
¶
Besides the Japanese context, kikkoumon can be distinguished from similar patterns like [[honeycomb background|honeycomb]] in that they often have multiple thick borders, and may have flowers or other traditional motifs inside them.¶
