Third game of the [[Touhou]] series, released 29 December 1997.¶
Mysterious ruins suddenly appear near the Hakurei Shrine. The shrine's miko, [[Hakurei Reimu]], together with her former enemies [[Mima]] and [[Kirisame Marisa]], as well as a few others, stage a competition to see which one can enter the ruins, believing it holds enormous treasures.¶
The game is notable for its "versus" style gameplay, one which will return for the Windows generation's [[Phantasmagoria of Flower View]].¶
