AK74 АК74 АК-74

The AK-74 (Автомат Калашникова образца 1974 года 'Kalashnikov assault rifle model 1974') is a 5.45×39mm assault rifle, developed in Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, 1974. It largely replaced the larger-caliber AKM in Soviet service, and many of its parts are interchangeable with the earlier AKs. First used by the Soviet military in the War in Afghanistan from 1979.
