camel
An even-hoofed animal of the genus Camelus with distinctive fat deposits on its back called humps. The two species of camels are the dromedary camel, native to the Middle East and the Horn of Africa, and the bactrian camel, which inhabits Central Asia. Both camels have been domesticated and are working animals that provide milk, meat, and hair for commodities such as textiles or felted bags.
