A 2002 movie directed by Steven Spielberg and staring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks based on the semi-autobiographical book of the same name.
The movie follows Frank Abagnale Jr. (DiCaprio), a teenage conman who stole millions of dollars during the 1960s using disguises and forgery skills to live a lavish life before being arrested by FBI agent Carl Hanratty (Hanks).
While the movie was praised by both viewers and critics for its story and acting, in recent years the events of the movie and the book it was based on have come into scrutiny due to investigations and allegations that many of the crimes that Frank claimed to have done have never happened.
