Major Dutch Schaefer is a cyborg Colonial Marine who fights against the Xenomorphs during the game.
He is armed with a powerful arm cannon that replaces his original arm that he lost in battle during the First Human-Alien War.
His name is a homage to Alan "Dutch" Schaefer, the main character from the first Predator movie played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In the AVP game his character is very resilient and powerful but also the slowest.
