glaug

グラージ

In the Macross franchise, a Zentradi alien one-man command aerospace walker mecha.

The Roiquonmi Glaug walker is better armored and has much more powerful weaponry than the Esbeliben Regult. It is armed with 2 mid-range energy guns and 2 rapid firing close-range energy guns in its arms, 2 small anti-personnel laser cannons on both sides of its cockpit and one long-range anti-ship heavy plasma cannon at the top.

This mecha can also be equipped with an aerospace booster which greatly increases its speed while traveling through space and enables it to fly in an atmosphere at supersonic speeds. The booster is armed with 6 missile launchers with 2 medium sized missiles each.

Because of its rarity and power, the Glaug is usually assigned to high ranking Zentradi officers and fleet commanders. It is the mecha of choice for Quamzin Kravshera.

It was renamed as the Officer's Battle Pod in the Robotech 1985 adaptation.

It was designed by Kawamori Shouji for the original Choujikuu Yousai Macross TV series.
