glitch art
21st century abstract art movement that focuses on the intentional and purposeful use of software glitches, digital and/or analog damage, compression artifacts and distortion in order to create a surreal or unsettling effect. Glitch art is entirely centered around the use of these effects, in contrast with their use as minor visual flairs.
