grenade launcher

A grenade launcher is a weapon that launches a grenade further and more accurately than a soldier could. There are those designed to be attached to long arms and those that are used as standalone weapons. Automatic grenade launchers also exist. These are usually crew-served or mounted on vehicles.

Despite the similarity in names, a grenade launcher is not the same as a rocket propelled grenade launcher and they should not be tagged as such.
