This page lists various searches that can be made on the artist commentaries page to find commentaries that need translating or are missing applicable metatags. These can often bypass the two-tag search limit for basic users, allowing for additional gardening avenues.
Basic Searches
- -commentary -commentary_request: Searches for posts with commentary that are missing both commentary and commentary request tags. Equivalent to the three-tag search -commentary -commentary_request has:commentary.
- commentary commentary_request: Searches for posts with both the commentary and commentary request tags. Equivalent to the three-tag search commentary commentary_request has:commentary.
- commentary:commission -commission: Searches for posts with the word commission in the commentary but without the commission tag. Equivalent to commentary:commission -commission.
- commentary:*[quote]*h6.*Image*description* -alt_text: Searches for posts with the text format for alt text in the commentary but without the alt_text tag. Equivalent to commentary:*[quote]*h6.*Image*description* -alt_text.
Common Translations
If you're not completely sure of a translation, either refrain from adding it or add the check commentary tag.
- Untitled: 無題, Sin título, 无标题, むだい, 무제, 无题
- Swimsuit: 水着, 泳装, 泳裝, みずぎ

Regular Expressions
By directly adding API requests to the URL search parameters, commentaries can be searched with regular expressions, allowing for more specific queries.
For most of these queries, results can be refined with specific commentary language tags or copyright tags by appending them to the end of the [post_tags_match] query, i.e. [post_tags_match]=-commentary -> [post_tags_match]=-commentary+touhou.
