Pictures based on, or depicting, historical events. From ancient history to yesterday, any depiction of a noteworthy event should use this tag. Artist commentaries can sometimes prove useful for identifying such entries.
This tag is only for images that directly depict actual historical events, or made a clear reference to it. For images that either indirectly depict an event or feature characters connected due to the shared history of their real life counterparts, use historical connection instead.
As such, do not use this tag for:
- Posts featuring characters with a historical connection performing fictional actions
- Posts featuring characters simply dressed in period-correct attire without depicting a real event
