holster

A container worn on the body to hold a gun. Holsters may often be found belted around the thigh, on the hip, or suspended under the armpits from a shoulder holster.

For knife, dagger, or sword holsters, use knife sheath or scabbard combined with tags like chest harness, thigh strap/belt, arm strap/belt to describe the location.
