ikoku nikki

Journal with Witch, known in Japan as Ikoku Nikki, is a manga series by Tomoko Yamashita serialized from 2017 to 2023. The narrative centers on the evolving relationship between Makio Kōdai, a reclusive novelist, and her orphaned niece, Asa Takumi, whom she decides to take in after a family tragedy. Due to its popularity, the series was adapted into a 2024 live-action film and a 2026 anime series by studio Shuka.
