Keffiyeh (Arabic: كوفية kūfiyyah) is a traditional Middle Eastern square-shaped headdress which is generally worn on the head or around the neck. Can be plain or often features distinct pattern that resemble houndstooth, fringed or not.
If the keffiyeh-like pattern is visible on a turban, this tag can apply.
There are many different terms to refer to it:
- Arabic: ghutrah (غُترَة), shemagh (شماغ), ḥaṭṭah (حَطّة), mashadah (مَشَدة)
