Sonic the Hedgehog's friend and former rival, Knuckles is a red echidna who gets his name from the spikes on his knuckles. He possesses resilience and strength, and can glide in the air. Because he had to protect the Master Emerald alone before meeting Sonic and Tails, he lacked social abilities and was gullible. He has a fierce rivalry with Rouge the Bat.
His seiyuu is Kanna Nobutoshi.
