m47 patton
A development of the M46 Patton tank which superseded it in service from 1951 to the early 1960s and was in turn replaced by the M48. It was to be an interim design equipped with an upgraded turret, meant to be pressed into service during the Korean War, but ultimately never saw combat during the war.
