mobile infantry

A fictional military group from the Starship Troopers classic science fiction novel from the 1950s. It also appears in the Uchuu no Senshi anime adaptation from the 1980s.

The mobile infantry is a futuristic human military unit of space marines equipped with power armors and involved in an interstellar war between mankind and an arachnid alien species known as "the Bugs".

In Paul Verhoeven's 1997 movie adaptation, instead they're depicted as regular soldiers with futuristic body armor instead of power armor.
