Mormonism is a non-trinitarian, restorationist branch of Christianity founded by Joseph Smith in the 1820s Western New York, USA. It focuses on the living Christ and His resurrection, rather than His crucifixion. Thus Mormons do not typically use the cross symbol. Their scripture uses the Book of Mormon alongside the Bible.
Considered controversial by mainstream Christian branches due to notable missionary activity, dietary restrictions on coffee, and other factors.
