A rice transplanter is a specialized piece of agricultural equipment designed to plant rice seedlings onto a rice paddy. There are two types of rice transplanter, a motorized self-driven variety, and a manually driven walking variety the operator pushes along. The self-driven variety is similar to a tractor with narrow wheels meant for driving in mud and a conveyor belt used to plant the seedlings.
