A fictional starfighter from the MACROSS series. It first appeared in the Choujikuu Yousai Macross TV series from 1982.

The SF-3A Lancer II is a general purpose manned space fighter designed only for service aboard the space carrier ships of the U.N. Spacy. Armed with two large energy cannons and internal long range rocket launchers, the Lancer II is well suited for long distance battles that are typical in space.

Despite its high range of operation, impressive weaponry and superior speed, is not very maneuverable, so is better suited for anti-capital ship combat and large spacecraft defense.

It was designed by Miyatake Kazutaka in the early 80s.
