showgirl skirt
A skirt or dress that has an open front, covering only the sides and rear. Usually worn with something like a leotard or swimsuit bottom.
If the skirt has an open front but is worn over another skirt, shorts, or pants, rather than worn by itself, it's an overskirt instead. If the skirt is simply higher in the front than in the back, rather than completely open, it's a high-low skirt instead.
