stethoscope

A medical device used to listen to the internal sounds of the body, especially the lungs and heart. It is also used to listen to the stomach and intestines and blood flow in arteries and veins. In combination with a blood pressure monitor, it can be used for measurements of blood pressure.

Wearing a stethoscope is common sign that a person is a nurse or doctor.
