An elder dragon from the Monster Hunter series, as well as one of the flagship monsters of Monster Hunter XX. Afterwards, it returned in Monster Hunter Rise as Crimson Glow Valstrax.

Known as the "Sky Comet Dragon", Valstrax resembles a slender dragon with silver scales and opposable wings with a trident-like shape with jets on their tips. In battle it uses its wing's jets to shoot fireballs at its enemies, or to fly up at impossible speeds before falling down onto its target without giving them a chance to evade.
