A transformable mecha from the MACROSS series. It first appeared in the Macross 2 OVA from 1992.

The VF-2SS Valkyrie II is a heavy armed variable fighter optimized for space operations. It is equipped with many missiles as well as several projectile and energy weapons.

It was designed by Oohata Kouichi.
