weird route (deltarune)
Weird Route (also referred as Snowgrave Route by the fandom or internally as Side B) is a hidden alternate path in Deltarune which can be triggered during Chapter 2. The route begins after Noelle Holiday joins the party in Cyber City. It is considered to be a spiritual successor to Undertale's "Genocide Route".
To initiate it, the player must backtrack with Noelle toward the Trash Zone, then defeat all enemies using only her "IceShock" spell. The player obtains the “FreezeRing” through a scripted purchase event, then replaces it with the “ThornRing,” which reduces the TP cost for IceShock and lowers Noelle's HP to one third of her maximum. Equipping it changes Noelle's title to "Ice Trancer" with the description "Receives pain to become stronger."
The route culminates in a boss fight against Berdly, where the player can force Noelle to use a new spell, “Snowgrave”. After this point, the route becomes locked for the remainder of the chapter. The Queen fight becomes inaccessible, and Spamton NEO replaces her as the final boss.
Save files that complete Chapter 2 via this route are flagged and will trigger altered scenes and dialogue in Chapters 3 and 4. The route is resumed and further consolidated during the Chapter 4.
