They realize that Shikieiki could shut down their heavy handed handling of things, perhaps why Momiji asked her to join.

Before translation, I thought Momiji was leaping to Aya's defense. I am very disappointed.

They just don't want to deal with Eiki's lecturing. Also, hooray for mosaic Aya again! You guys are going to need a new referee if you keep that up.
