I already mentioned this but no one believed me.

I'm posting this here since this is the actual reveal, but tagging on to the discussion in the previous comic:

It does explicitly say "two little fairies" in post #1086304, but Japanese does not naturally distinguish singular and plural. "The first kill-marker" and "The first kill-markers" are said the same way. Like almost everyone else, I assumed Cirno was out, hence "kill-markers"

If we leave the translation as is, it's misleading.

If we fix it to say kill-marker, it's essentially giving away the plot twist.

Suggestions?

Rephrase it entirely, like "And the board lit up!"

Done. I tried to keep the poetic license minimal, so it doesn't get "corrected" later by someone with good intentions but no plot knowledge.
