Gotta get going for a few hours. I'll try to get to the supplementary stuff afterward.

Hopefully not as painful as it WOULD have been had there been no donors for the Boston sojourn.

I always hate it when someone says that. Surprises tend to be nasty, so I break out interrogation and microexpressions...

Yay, Kogasa-san gets to bring Sanae-san on her next adventure! Traveling around in country shouldn't be as bad as going abroad, right? I'm sure the travel expenses won't hurt that bad. Well, they might hurt Kogasa-san later, through Sanae-san. Can't wait to what awaits them!

    Ah, there we go.

We actually rode the Hayate #23, which is the same model, but Hayabusa's the pet name for it, so I went with that. I almost never ride bullet trains, so I just couldn't hold back my excitement.

Travel costs to Sendai are pretty expensive, but I'll go into my reason for the decision tomorrow.

Reader-added quotes include "No matter how much you surprise, your wallet stays empty" and "Could it possibly be Granclass? (That's First Class seating on various bullet trains, including the Hayabusa line.)

The poll checks for rapid transit choices:

I want to ride a bullet train!
    • The Hikari
    • The Nozomi
    • The Kodama
    • The Hayate
    • The Tsubame

Wait. Is the entire Horaki family (from Neon Genesis Evangelion) named after bullet trains?

Should we tag Miku Hatsune for this?

I wonder what it feels like to ride in one of those bullet trains that Japan usually have?

I've been on almost every Shinkansen in Japan at least once. They're great. And in the original voting to name that train, "Hatsune" was the leader, but I think JR didn't want to use it, so they went with Hayabusa instead.

Shinkansens are pure comfort and relaxation.
