It's good to see someone being nice to Kogasa.

I don't recall anyone from the temple trying to intentionally do anything mean to kogasa; she just has really reallly bad luck in this series.

Yeah, Murasa did shave Kogasa's head once, but that was more out of temporary derangement than meanness. The closest I can recall to anyone being mean to her is when Nue told her about the temple's upcoming lake trip, but didn't consider Kogasa might think she was being invited.

They're not really mean to her, but they usually just ignore her. Especially early in the series. (I'd forgotten how bad they were back then until I reread some of them a couple of weeks ago.) This is the first time in the series I recall anyone going out of their way to make Kogasa feel better; the closest I remember was Byakuren suggesting a second beach trip with her when she wasn't invited on the first one (although they didn't follow through, probably for budget reasons).

On the other hand, most of the Myouren crew used to be really callous toward Byakuren too, basically taking her hard work and generosity for granted and passively exploiting her, so maybe they're just maturing.

Either way, seeing Nue and Kogasa taking a walk together cheers me up.

I wouldn't say they ignore her... she's the wacky neighbour in this series and a bit hard to ignore. They've also saved her from a rainstorm and heatstroke.

Actually, they did follow through, but you can only tell from the final monochrome illo in that storyline.

They've started to help her more, perhaps to the point sooner or later they'll let her be a part of the "family"
