From what I hear, the turbine was spinning at incredible speed when it shattered into four pieces. It seems they adorned the place with it as a warning so the same accident wouldn't happen again.

Today is Touhou: Tales of Ise in Mie Prefecture's city of Ise. I look forward to meeting all the attendees.

Pixiv tags include: "It's seriously terrifying, Kogasa-san" and "What is that? It's scary".

Shall we go for a spin?

When you think of spinning things, you think of...
    • CD
    • Eyes
    • The world
    • Alcohol
    • Hina

    //Supplies Schrobby with buttered popcorn.

Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest son of a bitch, period.

Whether it's on land or in space, being hit by a chunk of heavy mass that's flying fast enough to become airborne = dead, no buts about it.

Edit: For the poll, a spinning Hina is probably the safest of all the choices.

Fragnabbit, I made sure there weren't any notes yet before I started translating...

Reader-added tags include "That's seriously scary", "Nightmare fuel" (Well, "What the heck, this is scary", but sort of like the "What the heck, this is cute" equivalent to "Disgustingly Adorable"), and "Naturally biased poll".

The survey spins you right 'round, baby:

When it comes to things that go around, you think of:
    • CDs
    • Eyes
    • The world
    • Sake
    • Hina

Oddly, the idea of flying gigantic pieces of metal that weigh over 1000 pounds don't scare me. That said my answer for the poll is actually offices chairs and rotating saw blades... after that the world then CD's then Hina, but not eyes or any form of alcohol

And it is too late now I'm afraid.
I took the liberty of cleaning up the translation war. I left Moonspeaker's translation but feel free to revert it if you feel that Chaosknight's translation was better.

..Why do I feel like a horrible person for hiding someone's translation even though I know that someone had to do it sooner or later?

Turbine accident? Hmm... heard the story about one. On some plant rotor wasn't properly balansed (precision in tens of micrometers is matters). When rotor started, vibration quickly worn off and broke housings where it placed. Than still spinnig rotor flew away, drill two walls and landed inside plant's neighbour workshop. Between them aprox 20-30m. Done in seconds, no one(!) was hurt.

Back to story: how, in Aki's sake, 9 tons managed to launch for 1km, given it'll fly forward if just break out from housing? Rotating projectiles aren't so good at keeping straight trajectory either, especially with that weight.

    They sure are!
Big machines are always thrilling somehow.
    That far!?
    Rotating Bodies Are Scary
It weighs 9 metric tons and flew 880 meters, it says.
If it hit you, you'd be dead, for sure....
    Scaryyyy...
Apparently, it's a turbine rotor that got broken in an accident.
It said that there were serious casualties.
What do you suppose this lump of metal is?
