I think the point is that cold bottles can be wet So you need to wrap them so that it won't wet anything else
But they're not wrapping the bottom so it'd be a problem of that it'd just be leaving a wet ring on the bottom (A coaster would be useful in this case)

Wrapping a towel around a water bottle does wonders for keeping it cool. I question whether you can actually stuff a towel down the neck of the bottle, though.
