technically speaking, she is a plant that just looks like a Mantis though, so he should be safe

Plants can still be carnivorous. Usually by trapping the insect in some way then slowly digesting the body using its juices then absorbing the liquefied carcass.

Plants that imitate insects more often do so for pollination so the plant needs the bugs to survive to spread it

Debating whether or not she's dangerous is kind of a moot point since mantids eating the male after mating is mostly a myth...
