I may not understand her reaction but it is definitely cute.

I really miss the old Pepsi formula. It used to have some many gas you could feel the bubbles on your throat while the gas itself escaped through your nostrils. It was a discomforting yet satisfying sensation I haven't experienced in this millennium.

I don't stir it, but I also let my softdrinks fizz a bit before I drink them. If it's in a bottle, I shake it a bit after I open them to reduce the carbonation.

Of all the softdrinks I've had, the one that has the best level of carbonation right out of the bottle is Solo, where the carbonation only serves to accent the flavor instead of bursting in your mouth.

I prefer the carbonation. Flat soda is just unpleasant.

Now I really want a picture of someone shaking up a bottle of Coke, holding it in front of a blushing Warspite who gingerly twists off the cap, all the ambiguous foam bursts out on her surprised face and she has a disgusted but cute look as she complains about the "taste" and "stickiness".

I dilute mine with ice. Reduces both the carbonation and the sweetness.

I used to shake them up, and uncap it just enough to vent, to flatten it, maybe will start again next time we buy a 8-pack.

I like drinking flat colas. I hate the fizzing on my tongue, it stings.

Sipping flat cola however has an interesting flavour once I get past the excessive sugar.

Rather than stir, you can also just get the drink spinning, which brings out the carbonation exactly the same way.

Too much fizz, and you can't taste the soda, anyway.

That said, I've learned how to handle carbonation to the point where I can down a whole can in a single chug. (I've had people "race" me before...)

Warspite was everywhere in the war. She was in Washington state getting a refit when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and was considered to sortie if the Japanese tried to attack the West Coast of the United States or Canada. Especially since she had the best AA defenses around the area at that time.

Looks like I'm the only guy here who loves to chug soda because it burns. Nothing is worse than flat soda.
