Spending $70 on a single bra is both a blessing and a curse when you're with a busty woman

Her unusually large bust size costed her extra since hers needs to be custom-made.

You are telling me. Girls fashion is ridiculously expensive. One of my friends was looking through some fashion magazine and I was saying (half joking, half serious) how I would buy her a pair of kneestocks for her birthday to see her wear it. She pointed to the price of the pair I liked and it was like $110. For socks?! Apparently the expense is in the fit not the design, but man... I can only imagine the sorrow when those things tear.

Then again, some guys buy like $250 pairs of "tactical" pants and $300 Dillon Sunglasses. Screw that.

But man, do those Dillon Optics sunglasses look cool!

Make no mistake, there are the expensive ones on both sides. A premium bra with crafted lace or jewel-encrusted bindings can easily cost in the hundreds in USD. Some of the most expensive pieces of fantasy underwear out there are primarily for petite builds, and getting a good middling price from a premium shop is hard no matter what you look like.

The difference being is the ranges. A small girl can look good and be secure in a cheap bra or psuedo-silk lacey-thing, or just a tight tank-top depending on the girl. A big girl is expected to have to pay more because she needs it.

    I think it's a bit tragic.

Eh, it's not really because they need it - it's because there's lower demand. Like anything in modern production, the less you make of something, the more costly it is. And if you swing to H cups or so, they can be so rare in some populations (Japan), that almost every maker makes them manually, because it's not worth to buy a machine to produce them in big numbers - which makes the cost jump up.

Demand is high, amount of demand is low, so price is high.

Well, if you are talking about production of wearstuff in general, you wouldn't want produce something that rarely sold. Even the ones that in higher demand needs to be made in various pattern and colour to match up ppl's taste.

... You know, if I was Ai-chan's boyfriend, I'd insist on paying for all her bra expenses if I could afford it. Nevermind my personal luxuries, no girl of mine is going out without her minimum essentials, and that includes a perfectly comfortable and well-sized bra!

    But totally worth it nonetheless.

Speaking of which, wouldn't a sarashi be a decent alternative? Not taking into account the potential "being constricted in the chest" kind of feeling.

Realistically, yes. When boobs get to the point where they are so big they are problematic, a smart choice of breast binding can help a lot and save money. Sarashis and other wrapping bras have had a little bit of revival over the years as a popular choice of "no-bra support".

But what would be the point of a manga about busty women if they tightened their chest?

It only takes 1 downvote from any user to make your posts hidden to most people who have not tampered with the comment threshold setting. You can still see your comment when you click on the "Show all comments" link. Voted up for you and it's there again.

To add what OMG said, the voting system on danbooru is in some ways bipolar. It really depends on which audience sees your comment. There is one side of danbooru that loves waifus, pervy jokes, thigh highs and all that jazz. Then there is the other side that only likes serious works and works that compliment a main series or original story. Then you got other sub niches as far as personal opinions, uh... *ahem* "tastes", and character and franchise wars.

Personally I wouldn't take the comment rating too seriously, you are going to piss someone off anyways, just have fun with it.

I bet a weeb got triggered by your "if I was Ai-chan's boyfriend" lol. Hiding comments for 1 downvote sure is strange. I mean not all would actually like our comments no matter how cautious we type yet 1 downvote be it on whim or accidental to hide our comments

Yeah, I know I can make it show again using that link. It's the principle of the matter, you know?

It's not so much the comment rating, but rather a combination of 1) the forced invisibility of what seems to me an unoffensive comment, and 2) having no idea what exactly triggers a comment's invisibility (which, in hindsight, is probably because not even the comment's owner can know how much upvotes and/or downvotes the comment received).

And another important factor is the fact that practically an entire conversation in post #2352707 was downvoted into invisibility a mere day or two after I posted a response to said conversation.

    liquidfreedom88 said:

If that's true, it would be both extremely petty and extremely myopic.

I do wonder what's the purpose of this downvote/upvote system.

Check out the forums, you have to do a google chrome tampermonkey extension and insert a script a user here wrote in order to see comment rating values.

I believe the purpose is to automatically filter out the guys who don't think before they type, and also to give each user a kind of instant feedback over how their comments are received. For example if you leave a comment "your waifu a shit" and get -10 downvotes, you get an idea that people don't want to hear that kind of stuff. Of course, weither or not you censor yourself from there on or not is pretty much up to you. Plus a lot of users have really funny or insightful comments and you want to express how much you like it so you can upvote rather than leaving a comment like "lol".

That is what I mean by just accepting you will piss some people off. I set my threshold to like -9999. I don't care if people downvote my comments or block it from their view. And I definitely got comments well over -5 (mostly during the election cycle :P), but the only thing I am concerned about really are the replies to my comment. I'm fine with reading shitty comments, and frankly there are a lot of downvoted comments which don't deserve it, probably a kind of domino effect where people downvote negative comments just because they are negative without thinking about the context.

For the people who absolutely do not want to view any potentially offensive thing, the comment rating is kind of like, "kay dude, you think X is offensive, but Y and Z think you are offensive, so why don't you not look at any of this cancer". Its like, if you get offended easily, the system kind of tells you to stop looking at comments since it will omit most of that content. Comments are more for people who have a thick skin, but are not insensitve to where they are personally derogatory (because then mod-senpai will bring the ban hammer). At least that is my interpretation. Its like you can't have both censorship of what others say, yet gaurenteed approval of your own comments.

And actually, there is so much content on Danbooru pumped in that a good comment stream where people reply to each other is pretty rare except for controversial images (or lone comment that starts the war) and popular pools like the 4koma series.

    kek to you too~ ⸜( ˙˘˙)⸝

The rating system is doing it's intended purpose, that's why you can set your own negative threshold. Your comments are not being censored by the whole site, but instead on an individual basis. There are people who are actually indeed sensitive and would rather see only positive comments like "This was an awesome doujin! Reisen was so cute with her flappy bunny ears! Artist-san needs to update faster!" and such.

There are others who also wish to never engage in any "Fights" or bickering and would just want to have them invisible as a whole. If youre negantive threshold is set to 0, they won't see any fights at all since when you do have arguments (before a moderator comes in) everyone gets downvoted at least once anyway.
