F*ck. I was wondering what's this news about Russian plane crash lately (not a fan of TV anymore)...But i'd never imagine it was THEM!

Not all. 64 people died out of 180+ total members. However, reports say that was the key part of the choir, and the director was also on that plane, so the ensemble is heavily damaged if not destroyed. May their souls rest in peace.

Just a heads up in case anyone is concerned: the ensemble was rebuilt after holding a massive audition among professional singers all over Russia. At least two leading opera singers from my region have joined the choir, and I personally know one of them to be exceptionally talented. I guess they have gathered the best of the best, so the ensemble lives on and gives its first renewed performances already.

Thank you for the news, Type. Although i come from SEA country, listening to foreign musics aside from English & Japanese ones is my hobby, and the ensemble is one of my fave.
