My favorite thing was probably the unusually sympathetic portrayal of Reimu, as small as her role was. Her usual rude-if-not-evil personality can be great for comedy, but in more serious works I definitely prefer this one.

Well, canonically, it was rather kind of her to take Shinmyoumaru in, wasn't it? There were other ways Reimu could have monitored her.
