Well, she is the strongest battleship they could actually afford to field (after 'Bono goes on a Dechi-level round-the-clock expedition binge), so that's close enough.

Haruna's hair is grayish, actually. As for this... he has NO steel now... which you need. Badly. Ship damaged? You need steel to repair it. You want to build something? Need steel mate. Want to upgrade a ship? Gonna need some shiny steel for that.
And honestly, the Kongou line is pretty good... But you can get them VERY easily from drops and regular construction. Nagato not so much- but even she is a drop and available from regular construction for battleships. From a resource standpoint, it's like spending $300 for an R and a SR in a gacha game.

The thing is, you can get both of them with regular construction for a few hundred of each resource instead of the SIX THOUSAND steel and tens of thousands of resources... or you can get them as rewards from drops. You only do LSC, which ups the amount of resources it takes by an order of magnitude for the ships you can't get any other way.
Again, they were at soft cap resources after 'Bono did MONTHS of resource collection (although, granted, it wouldn't have taken remotely that long if he were actually there and doing expeditions), and he blew ALL that work in three spins of the wheel.
Worse, they're so low on resources, they don't even have the ability to go do missions to help collect more.

They won't be able to help you if they can't be repaired or operated due to a lack of resources. Think "Queen who never leaves dock" as being their fate.
You know after all my time in WoWS everyone frantically shooting at the DD the instant they're spotted no longer seems odd to me.
She's basically Leeroy Jenkins - charges out and shoots unimportant targets while the boss node she's supposed to kill wipes everyone else out since it's not taking any damage from the main hitters v
