Butter. That's it. That's literally all it is. To anyone sane, that sounds as gross as you would imagine. To Akagi and Kaga.... it's more of a "Huh..." moment than anything else.

I was kind of hoping for something like various regional barbecue styles, or comfort foods, or something else.

Not something you probably only eat at a state fair.

Seriously, those guys really love their butter. There's the Iowa state fair (where they did serve fried butter), the butter cow sculpture (and now a butter TRACTOR), them kicking up a total fuss when someone suggested rationing butter back in WWII, plus still having an explicit law on their books which makes it illegal to pass off margarine as butter.
